Interim Management Accountant Interim NEW

Cedar is currently partnered with an established Service business to secure an Interim Management Accountant, based in Wembley, London with 4 days per week based from the office. The role is a 3-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £300-350 per day (Umbrella), with potential for extension.

The Role

As Interim Management Accountant, you will:

• Review invoices prepared by the finance assistant before distribution on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Support the resolution of queries to facilitate the timely issuance of ad-hoc company sales invoices each month.
• Conduct weekly reviews of bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit weekly cash flow reports for the board of directors.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end management accounts, including profit and loss by contract, balance sheet reconciliations (covering key accounts such as prepayments and accruals), and monthly cash flow reports for one trading company and two group entities.
• Review management accounts with operations managers ahead of the monthly board meeting.
• Coordinate with statutory accounts auditors on an annual basis.
• Provide support for accounts payable queries and processing when the accounts payable assistant is on leave.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
• Previous experience within a similar role, either within industry or within public practice in an SME environment.
• Prior experience in an interim / contract role.
• Availability to begin immediately.
• The rate of £300 – £350 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
