Financial Accountant, PE Backed Market Leader, London, up to £70k + 15% bonus

I am working with a Market Leading, Private Equity backed technology business who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team at the heart of a rapidly growing organisation. You’ll play a pivotal role in statutory reporting, audits, and technical accounting, driving the development of robust financial policies and processes to support our ambitious growth.

Private Equity backed by a FTSE 100, instantly recognisable, PE Powerhouse, they have turned their focus to investing in upskilling the business and driving optimisation and financial insight to accelerate their vision. This business has seen sustained organic growth alongside several recent deals which have accelerated their brand even further.

Key Responsibilities:

• Statutory Reporting & Audit
  • Act as a key contact for the year-end audit process, handling fieldwork queries and preparing supporting schedules.
  • Prepare financial statements for all Group subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the consolidated Group financial statements.
• Accounting & Policy Implementation
  • Ensure compliance with new and existing accounting policies, driving their effective implementation across the business.
  • Own specific areas of the monthly management reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Internal Relationships: Collaborate with the accounting and reporting team, wider finance team, and other departments on projects.
  • External Relationships: Work closely with external auditors, transactional services teams, and shareholders.
• Project Support
  • Play a key role in ad hoc projects, including financial due diligence and other transactional services.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance team.
• Technical Guidance
  • Provide expert technical accounting support to the accounting and reporting team.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team and business on specific projects, delivering technical insights and solutions.

Essential:

• ACA qualified from top 10 practice
• 1+ years of industry experience within a similar Financial Accounting role
• Strong IFRS knowledge and hands-on experience in financial reporting and statement preparation.

• Proven experience managing or coordinating external audit processes.

Desirable:

• Industry experience, particularly in a high-growth or dynamic environment.
• Experience working on due diligence or transactional projects.
