Cedar is currently partnered with an established Real Estate business to secure an Interim Financial Accountant, based in Central London. The role is a 9-month initial contract, paying a pro-rata’d salary of £65,000 – £80,000.

The Role

As Interim Financial Accountant, you will:

• Contribute to year-end reporting for group and subsidiary accounts, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Act as one of the key contacts for external auditors to facilitate timely account completion and filing with Companies House and banking deadlines.
• Support month-end procedures and assist in the preparation of Group management accounts, including accruals/prepayments, service charge calculations and ad-hoc analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and month-end postings.
• Analyse various business streams within the company, assessing revenue versus costs.

Your Profile

You will ideally have:

• A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA).
• Previous experience of financial and management accounting processes.
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience of managing relationships and working closely with other accounting departments
• Prior experience in an interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
• Prior experience within the Real Estate / Property sector is beneficial but not necessary.
• Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
• The salary of £65,000 – £80,000. represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
