Jewish Blind & Disabled in partnership with Cedar

Business Performance

Jewish Blind & Disabled transforms the lives of Jewish adults who have a physical disability and/or vision impairment through independent living and support. This is provided through our specially adapted mobility apartments located in one of our 7 unique, supportive developments or within their own home.

Cedar is supporting the charity in recruiting for this high-profile role.

For Jewish adults with physical disabilities and/or vision impairment.

We provide specially adapted mobility apartments and offer occupational therapist assessments and support to help people stay independent and safe in their own home.

We are the only Jewish charity dedicated to ensuring that neither physical disability nor impaired vision is allowed to become a barrier to maintaining one’s independence and dignity. We provide developments of mobility apartments specially designed to enable people to do the everyday tasks that are key to living independently, in safety with their own front door. We have over 360 people living across our 7 developments with ages ranging from those in their 30’s to over 100 years old.

We are recruiting.

Our staff survey shows people love working for Jewish Blind & Disabled. We are a great employer and we offer roles that give people a sense of fulfilment. We are an organisation that makes a real difference to people’s lives.

No matter your specialism, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business and effect positive change.

As an independent charity that does not receive any government funding it is only through the generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our staff, that we are able to continue to develop and manage these vital facilities.

We are guided by our strong Jewish values and we recruit people based on our values of:

  • Truth and Integrity (EMET) – Do what you are supposed to do. Be accountable. Be professional.
  • Respect (KAVOD) – Treat others with respect and dignity.

  • Fairness (TZEDEK)  – Be fair. Be open-minded and listen.
