Finance Business Partner Interim

Cedar is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Finance Business Partner to join a well-established higher education establishment based in the South East for a 3 month contract. The successful candidate will assist the dynamic, newly-restructured Business Partnering team in fostering effective stakeholder relationships and delivering strategy-focused, expert advice to drive financial performance.

Rate: £400 – £450 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: South East

Hybrid: 1-2 days on site per week

Contract Length: 3 months

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with Senior Managers and their teams, stakeholders and budget holders and ensure they are well-informed on financial matters.
• Support the business area and wider university with strategic and financial matters including working on complex projects with finance experts to ensure technical finance support is targeting the necessary areas.
• Mitigate risk and make finance and non-finance professionals aware of potential risks and opportunities.
• Leverage models and analysis to interpret underlying data across income and cost areas and deliver presentations on business decisions covering efficiency, cost reduction etc.
• Deliver coaching / training sessions to the business.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (CCAB).
• Business partnering experience within a higher education institution.
• Excellent IT skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office software.
